2017 Alexander Technique Intensive Residential in Healsville organized by the School for F.M. Alexander Studies in Melbourne and attended by teachers from all over Australia including teachers and  trainees  of the Sydney Alexander Technique School.
 

 

Held at Maitripa Centre from 25 February to 01 Mar 2017

Great opportunity for meeting new people, exchanging information and rich learning. Diverse Programme consisted of:

  • Group Technique classes daily with Caren Bayer, divided in three levels: Beginners, Advanced and Teachers (Alternating with  Greg Holdaway and Simon Fitzgibbon )
  • Early morning out-door Tai-Chi classes (Caren Bayer)
  • Yoga classes (David Moore)
  • Voice group class (Jenny Thirtle)
  • Group work classes (Rossella Buono)
  • Individual Trainee presentations (diverse topics)
  • Games evening
  • Performance evening (all participants)

AUSTAT Conference 2016 (29-31 July 2016 at Abbotsford Convent in Melbourne)
Keynote Presenter – Caren Bayer – Experiencing dynamic mindfulness

Around 80 teachers and trainees from all over- Victoria, NSW, Queensland, Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia, ACT, New Zealand, Germany and the guest teacher Caren Bayer from the USA.

There was a wonderful range of workshops and presentations by local teachers, with the interweaving thread of daily workshops with Caren.
